US UAVs on the Russian border: MiGs launched

Three MiG-31s intercepted a US-owned Global Hawk drone near the Russian border in the Chukotka Sea.

Axar.az reports that the statement came from the National Defense Management Center of the Russian Federation.

"On August 11, Russian air control systems detected a target approaching the state border on the Chukotka Sea.

Three MiG-31s belonging to the Air Defense Forces of the Eastern Military District were launched to capture the target,” the statement said.
