Turkish security forces have launched Operation Yildirim-5 in the Amanos Mountains.

Axar.az reports that the statement came from Turkish Interior Minister Suleyman Soylu.

The minister said that 1,448 members of the security forces took part in the operation.

Answering a question about the assassination of PKK leader Jamil Bayik, the minister said that anti-terrorist operations continue.

"Our recommendation to the whole world is to continue to follow Turkey."
