China: The US must stop playing with fire

The Chinese government has called on American politicians not to play with fire on the Taiwan issue.

Axar.az reports that the statement came from Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Zhao Lijian.

"China opposes any official contact with the United States and Taiwan," he said. Certain US officials should refrain from feeding on illusions about China's fundamental interests. Those who play with fire will burn," he said.
