Iran fully supports the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Azerbaijan, said Iranian Deputy FM Hadi Soleimanpour.

The deputy FM said Iran is against changing international recognized borders.

Iran supports complete fulfillment of the UN Security Council resolution, Soleimanpour noted.

“We have taken an active role in the work of the contact group created within the Organization of Islamic Cooperation. We’re not a member of the Minsk Group, but we believe the co-chairs’ efforts for peaceful settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict should be aided,” he said.

Soleimanpour added that Iran has strategic partnership relations with Azerbaijan.
