Russia can contribute to the process in Belarus - Borrell

Russia can contribute to the establishment of internal dialogue in Belarus, so the European Union intends to continue contacts with Moscow.

Axar.az reports that the statement came from EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell.

"We are aware of the historical, political and cultural ties between Belarus and Russia. This could persuade the Minsk government to enter into a dialogue with the protesting forces. I will discuss this issue with the Russian government in the coming weeks, "said Josep Borrell.
