40 Armenians beat Gazprom employees and police

About 40 residents of Sovagyukh village of Gegharkunik region of Armenia beat Gazprom Armenia employees.

Axar.az reports citing the Armenian media that the cause of the incident was the fact that Gazprom representatives had been aware of the theft of gas in the village for years.

Police involved in the incident were also among those beaten. The chiefs of the Gavar and Sevan district police departments received various injuries.

The service car of Gazprom Armenia representatives was stoned. An investigation is underway at the Gegharkunik Prosecutor's Office.
