Russian President Vladimir Putin has accepted the resignation of Dagestan's President Vladimir Vasilyev and appointed him an adviser.

Axar.az reports that, the Kremlin announced this.

It was noted that Putin appointed Sergei Melikov as interim head of Dagestan.
