Putin offered his condolences to Erdogan

Russian President Vladimir Putin has sent a letter of condolences to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan over the devastating earthquake in Izmir.

Axar.az informs that the statement came from the Kremlin's press service.

"Dear Mr. President, accept my deepest condolences on the loss of life and large-scale destruction in the Izmir region due to the strong earthquake," the statement said.

Putin expressed his condolences to the families of the victims and wished the injured a speedy recovery.
