A magnitude 4.7 earthquake shook the Puturga district of the Turkish city of Malatya.
Axar.az reports that the statement came from the Turkish Emergency Management Agency (AFAD).
According to the report, the tremors were also felt in Adiyaman region.
The quake was reported at a depth of 6.9 kilometres.
No casualties or damage have been reported so far.
