Sargsyan wants more authority

Armenian President Armen Sargsyan called for an increase in his powers.

Axar.az reports Sargsyan said that a balance should be created between the parliament and the presidential institution.

"I think that if we remain a parliamentary country, the president should be elected by the people. In our country, all appointments are made by parliament, but where is the balance? ” He said.

According to the Armenian constitution, the president of Armenia is elected by the parliament.
