The only road to link Armenia with Russia is closed

The Yukhari Lars checkpoint, the only land link between Armenia and Russia, remains closed.

Axar.az reports that the statement came from Aram Tananyan, customs attaché at the Yukhari Lars border checkpoint in Armenia.

He said more than 800 trucks were stranded in the 100-kilometre area from Upper Lars to Vladikavkaz. Tananyan said 50-60 of these cars were Armenian.
