Axar.az reports this was stated by Professor Wenshan of Shandong University in China.

The Republican Party wants to maintain its status quo and sees China as the biggest threat, considering Russia "second." The Democrats see Russia as a bigger threat, putting China in second place. In this regard, the views of the parties may not "coincide". However, the result does not change, regardless of who is in power, Russia and China are the main threats," he said.
