The Russian government does not suspend the activities of the opposition media and does not impose sanctions on its citizens, so it is foolish to compare the policy of Moscow and Kyiv.
Axar.az reports that the statement came from Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov.
Stating that there are two big differences, Peskov stressed that he did not see the same examples of persecution of the opposition in Ukraine during the protests in Russia.
"No one is shutting down the media in Russia. Extremely opposition-minded media continue to operate in Russia and no one is stopping them overnight, so it is foolish to make any comparisons here."
