Axar.az reports that the statement came from Gruzinform editor-in-chief Arno Khidirbegishvili.

According to him, Gakharia's resignation and the parliamentary crisis should be considered a serious shock:

"The current situation is a repeat of 2003. At that time, Prime Minister Zhvania resigned, there was a Rose Revolution, and a new government came. At that time, power was taken over by Shevardnadze's Civil Union Party (reminiscent of the pre-revolutionary period - ed.). Similarly, today the elections protests against the results, the resignation of the Prime Minister are repeated. This, of course, must be followed by the resignation of the government.
