Pashinyan`s orders to the generals

I order all officers and generals to work on the protection of state borders. This is my order. No one can fail to do it.

Axar.az reports that the statement came from Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan during a rally at the Republic Square.

He said the General Staff statement was an attempt at a military coup. Pashinyan said the people would not allow the coup.

"The army must be subordinate to the people and the government elected by the people. The army should not take part in political processes."
