Statement from NATO on the situation in Yerevan

NATO is closely monitoring the situation in Armenia, urging the parties not to escalate tensions and to resolve all differences within the framework of the constitution and peacefully.

Axar.az reports that NATO official Oana Lungescu wrote this on Twitter.

"We are closely following the developments in our partner Armenia. It is important to avoid steps that could lead to further aggravation. Any political disagreement must be resolved peacefully and democratically in accordance with the Armenian constitution," Lungescu said.
