Russian blogger Navalny moved to a special colony

It has been made public where politician Alexei Navalny had been taken to. He is now in colony No. 2 in the town of Pokrov in the Vladimir region.

Axar.az reports citing foreign media that the politician has been given the ‘prone to escape’ tag. Public activist Konstantin Kotov spent time in this colony and told the Dozhd TV channel that although it is considered a general regime colony, the order there is quite strict: “In the unit where I was, all the other convicts were forced to live in quite harsh conditions. They were even forbidden to talk to me. They can come up with something similar in relation to Alexei.”

Right-wing politician and political prisoner Dmitry Demushkin also spoke about the colony where Alexei Navalny was transferred:

“When I was still in a special unit of the Matrosskaya Tishina, there were four places where it was thought that convicts should not be sent: in addition to Karelia, Omsk and Krasnoyarsk, there was also Vladimir. And people did everything not to get there, even ripped open their stomachs and cut their veins. This is why the administration never informed them that it was the Vladimir that people were going to serve their sentences in.”

They didn’t just put him on the preventive watch list, either, but they put him in the intensive supervision section.
