Pashinyan announced a new referendum

In October this year, the country will hold a referendum on amendments to the constitution.

Axar.az reorts that the statement came from Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan during a rally.

"The Constitution, which was adopted in 2015 and came into force in 2018, has revealed a number of shortcomings for us, which create risks for crisis situations. We believe that the transition to a semi-presidential form is one of the best options," Pashinyan said.

According to him, this process should be carried out in close cooperation with the parliament, government, political forces, the president, and civil society.
