Pentagon announces $125 mln in military aid for Ukraine

The U.S. Department of Defense announced Monday a $125 million package for the Ukraine Security Assistance Initiative, the first of its kind under the Biden administration.

Axar.az reports citing foreign media that according to a Department of Defense press release, the military aid package will include training, equipment, and advisory efforts to help Ukraine’s forces preserve the country’s territorial integrity, secure its borders, and improve interoperability with NATO.

”This action reaffirms the U.S. commitment to providing defensive lethal weapons to enable Ukraine to more effectively defend itself against Russian aggression,” the department said in a statement.
