Russia intensifies fake campaign - Borrell

Russia has stepped up its disinformation campaign in the European Union to tarnish and weaken democracy.

Axar.az reports that the statement came from EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell.

According to him, misinformation is especially bad during a pandemic.

He said that disinformation was spreading on an industrial scale and that Russia had made a special contribution to this work.

The chief diplomat said that work would be intensified to prevent and stop harmful activities against the EU.
