Pentagon chief to Georgia: We will defend it

US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin and Georgian Defense Minister Juansher Burchuladze had a telephone conversation.

Axar.az reports that the statement came from the US Defense Department.

During the telephone conversation, the Pentagon chief defended the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Georgia. Austin also said the United States was committed to strengthening Georgia's defences against Russian aggression.
