The US surprised Iran: We are ready to lift sanctions

The US leadership is ready to lift some of the unilateral sanctions against Iran but urges Tehran to abandon such maximalist demands on Washington.

Axar.az reports that the statement came from US State Department spokesman Ned Price.

"We understand that we need to ease sanctions. Maximalist demands will not take us anywhere. The reason we are in Vienna is to see how both sides will fulfil their obligations," Price said.
