An investigation launched: Explosion in Iranian ship

Investigations into the source of the explosion on the ship "Saviz" are underway.

Axar.az reports that the statement came from Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Saeed Khatibzadeh.

He said the ship was partially damaged after the blast and no one was killed or injured.

The spokesman said that the Saviz was deployed in the Red Sea to fight pirates and was coordinated with the International Maritime Organization.

Yesterday, a warship belonging to the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) was attacked off the coast of Eritrea in the Red Sea.
