China has challenged: We will not allow the US

The Chinese government is working to protect US-sanctioned supercomputer makers.

Axar.az reports that the statement came from a spokesman for the Chinese Foreign Ministry. He said China would take adequate steps against the United States.

"The United States seeks to maintain its monopoly and hegemony in the international high-tech market," he said.

The United States has blacklisted seven Chinese technology companies. Washington says the companies have created a supercomputer for China's military.
