The Russian government is increasing tensions with Ukraine in order to divert attention from internal problems.
Axar.az reports this claim was made by the "Washington Post" newspaper.
"Putin is facing growing public discontent over Russia's stagnant economy and poor response to the coronavirus. The parliamentary elections scheduled for September are approaching, and independent polls show that only 27% will vote for the ruling party, while 41% do not want Putin to run for president again. This is a record," the newspaper said.
