The US deploys troops to the Indo-Pacific region

Washington believes that the Pentagon should focus on the situation in the Indo-Pacific region in the context of the withdrawal of American troops from Afghanistan.

Axar.az reports that the statement came from an official from the US Presidential Administration.

"I think that one of the goals of the president and his aides to take cautious steps in Afghanistan is to focus the attention and resources of our armed forces on the key challenges of the 21st century. In our opinion, the challenges are mainly in the Indo-Pacific region," he said.
