US: Russia's sanctions are an escalation

We regret Russia's response to US sanctions and consider it an escalation.

Axar.az reports that the statement came from a US State Department spokesman. He said the United States was not interested in the escalation but reserved the right to retaliate against Russia.

Earlier, Russia responded to US sanctions. Under the Russian sanctions, 10 US diplomats will leave the country, the movement of US diplomats in the country will be suspended without inspection, and the activities of American foundations interfering in Russian policy will be banned. Moscow has also banned eight US administration officials from entering the country.
