Crimean Tatars invited Erdogan to a meeting

The head of the Crimean Regional National-Cultural Autonomy Eyvaz Umerov has invited Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to meet with a delegation of Crimean Tatars.

Axar.az reports that Umerov said this in an interview with RIA Novosti.

He said that Turkey's position on Crimea has its reasons:

"Turkey is helping Ukraine not for Crimea, but for the Tatars. But I am sure that the pragmatism of the Turkish President and his personal relations with the Russian President will lead him to unequivocally recognize Crimea as Russia's territorial integrity," Umerov said.
