A strict coronavirus quarantine regime may be re-introduced in Georgia.

Axar.az reports that the statement came from Georgian Health Minister Ekaterina Tikaradze.

"Now the main idea is to tighten the existing restrictions and monitoring as much as possible. But we do not want to stop the economy, because we know the consequences," he said.

Note that, on April 17, the number of people infected with the COVID-19 virus in the country increased by 1,219 facts and reached 294,540. 180,132 of them recovered and 3,925 died.
