Trump supported Biden's decision

Former US President Donald Trump has welcomed Joe Biden's move to withdraw US troops from Afghanistan.

Axar.az reports Trump issued a written statement.

"Leaving Afghanistan is a wonderful and positive thing. I had planned the withdrawal of troops by May 1. We need to complete the process as soon as possible," Trump said.

In February last year, Trump agreed with the Taliban to withdraw US troops from Afghanistan by May 1, 2021, subject to certain conditions.
