Russia gave these diplomats 72 hours - Tensions

Bulgarian Ambassador to Russia Atanas Kristin has been summoned to the Foreign Ministry.

Axar.az reports that the statement came from the Russian Foreign Ministry.

The ambassador was given a note from the ministry. According to the decision, the First Secretary of the Consular Service of the Bulgarian Embassy in Russia Nikolai Panayotov and another employee of this body Chavdar Hristozov were declared "undesirable."

Diplomats were given 72 hours to leave Russia.

This was in response to Bulgaria's announcement in March of this year of two employees of the Russian embassy in Sofia as "persona non grata."
