Rouhani: Iran was going to purchase vaccine

The Iranian government had planned to receive 1 million doses of the coronavirus vaccine through COVAX but was thwarted by US sanctions.

Axar.az reports that the statement came from Iranian President Hassan Rouhani.

"If there were no sanctions, there would be supplies from COVAX, and today 1 million people would be vaccinated," he said.
