These messages sent by Turkey to Yerevan - Akar

The ceasefire reached between Armenia and Azerbaijan last year offers significant opportunities to open a new page.

Axar.az reports that the statement came from Turkish National Defense Minister Hulusi Akar in an interview with RealClearDefense magazine.

He said that in addition, Turkey was one of the first countries to reject and condemn the coup attempt in Armenia in February this year:

"Opportunities for security, stability, peace and prosperity are important not only for Armenia but for the region as a whole. If the Armenian leadership listens to the message sent by Turkey to Armenia and takes a step towards peace, the political and economic benefits will be high for the whole region."
