The reason for Putin's "silence" on the Donbas

Russian President Vladimir Putin's silence on the situation in the Donbas is a matter of concern for Kyiv.

Axar.az reports that the statement came from Ukrainian political scientist Alexander Kochetkov.

"Putin's silence on Ukraine is not due to Moscow's peacekeeping intentions, but to its secret aggression. In general, there are two reasons why Putin did not say anything about Ukraine in his 1.5-hour speech. First, Putin maintained diplomatic courtesy and tried to get closer to Joseph Biden. In doing so, he renounced military rhetoric. The second reason is Russia's real readiness for military intervention in Ukraine. The silence is about calming Kyiv," he said.
