We have provided full support to the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC).
Axar.az reports that the statement came from Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavushoghlu, who spoke about the results of the three-day talks on Cyprus in Geneva.
"The leadership of Southern Cyprus has not been able to come up with a new solution to the problem during the talks. If sovereign equality is recognized, a new process can begin. They wanted to take a more assertive position. But they got the necessary answer from us. We will continue to support the proposal for a two-state solution in Cyprus," he said.
Cavusoglu also noted that the UN aims to hold a new 5 + 1 meeting in a few months.
