Bashar al-Assad announced an amnesty

Syrian President Bashar al-Assad has signed an amnesty decree.

Axar.az reports that the statement came from the Syrian government.

According to the decree, those arrested for bribery, forgery of official documents, drug trafficking were amnestied.

The amnesty does not apply to those arrested for arms smuggling, treason, espionage and terrorism.
