Blinken: We forget why we came to Afghanistan

The United States sometimes forgets the original reasons for the deployment of troops to Afghanistan 20 years ago.

Axar.az reports that the statement came from US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken.

"We have been in Afghanistan for 20 years, and sometimes we forget that we went there to take action against those who attacked us on September 11. We did it. We must be ready for any scenario. There are many of them. We look at it very clearly," he said.

It should be noted that the withdrawal of US and NATO forces from Afghanistan began yesterday. The process will be completed by September 11.
