Iran reports 20,732 new COVID-19 cases, 391 died

The Iranian health ministry announced on Monday that 20,732 new cases of coronavirus infection have been reported across the country during the past 24 hours, adding that 391 patients have passed away in the same period of time.

Axar.az reports Iranian Health Ministry Spokeswoman Sima Sadat Lari stated this on Monday.

“A sum of 20,732 new patients infected with COVID-19 have been identified in the country based on confirmed diagnosis criteria during the past 24 hours."

She added that the total number of COVID-19 patients has increased to 2,555,587.

“Unfortunately, 391 patients have lost their lives in the past 24 hours, increasing the number of the dead to 72,875," the spokeswoman noted.

Lari expressed satisfaction that 2,004,949 coronavirus patients have recovered or been discharged from hospitals so far.
