Note to Turkey from a country that cannot protect its border

Turkish National Defense Minister Hulusi Akar's visit to a Turkish military base during a visit to northern Iraq has caused a scandal.

Axar.az reports that the Iraqi Foreign Ministry has issued a note to Turkey's Chargé d'Affaires in protest of Akar's visit.

The note stressed that violations of sovereignty in Iraq were not accepted.

It should be noted that H. Akar visited the "Panja-Yildirim" operational area on May 1.
