The US does not need peace in the Donbas - Medvedchuk

The United States wants Ukraine to become a platform for confrontation with Russia, and Washington does not need peace in the Donbas.

Axar.az reports that the statement came from Viktor Medvedchuk, chairman of the Ukrainian Opposition Platform for Life.

"International leaders have taken the right step by supporting Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky. But the tone of this chorus is determined by the United States. They want Ukraine to become a platform for confrontation with Russia. They do not need peace in the Donbas," Medvedchuk said.

Medvedchuk is the "godfather" of Russian President Vladimir Putin's daughter and is considered one of his closest associates in the CIS.
