Turkey`s reaction: Latvia recognized the "genocide"

The decision was taken today by the Latvian parliament to recognize the events of 1915 as "genocide" is an empty attempt to rewrite history for political reasons.

Axar.az reports that the statement came from the Turkish Foreign Ministry.

"We reject this illegal decision and strongly condemn it. Parliaments are not a place to write history and judge," the statement said.
