We have said that no country can be unilaterally excluded from the F-35 program. The last letter from the United States justified us.
Axar.az reports that the statement came from the chairman of the Turkish Defense Industry Committee Ismail Demir.
He recalled the memorandum of understanding signed for the F-35 program at a meeting with members of the Economic Correspondents Association:
"According to this text, the expulsion of an ally can only be unanimous or withdrawn by itself. Despite the absence of any of these, the statement "I expelled Turkey" has no legal basis.
"A dialogue process will begin with the United States to ensure that our rights to our aircraft are not lost and that a solution that does not contradict the spirit of the alliance is found."
