Aliyev to Lavrov: Peacekeepers are in our territory

From a military point of view, we can say that the situation is already normalized, but in terms of political, economic, transport and other aspects of future interaction, of course, much remains to be done.

Axar.az reports that the statement came from President Ilham Aliyev during a meeting with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.

"Of course, we hope that Russia, as our friend, strategic partner, neighbour, peacekeeper, as a country in the territory of Azerbaijan today, will continue to reduce tensions and take advantage of a more vigilant approach of the Armenian side.

As for our bilateral relations, I repeat, I am sure that the new situation in the South Caucasus already gives new features to our relations," the President said.
