Iran registers over 16000 new coronavirus patients

A sum of 16,409 new patients infected with COVID-19 has been identified in the country based on confirmed diagnosis criteria during the past 24 hours.

Axar.az reports citing foreign media that Iran’s Health Ministry Public Relations Center said on Wednesday, and added, "2,252 patients have been hospitalized during the same time span.”

It further said that the total number of COVID-19 patients has increased to 2,707,761.

“Unfortunately, 366 patients have lost their lives in the past 24 hours, increasing the number of the dead to 75,934," the ministry noted.
