WHO pandemic warning

The second year of the pandemic could result in more deaths than the first year.

Axar.az reports that the statement came from Director-General of the World Health Organization (WHO) Tedros Adanom Gebreyesus.

"COVID-19 has already killed more than 3.3 million people, and we think the second year of the pandemic could be more deadly than the first," he said.

Gebreyesus also said that the percentage of coronavirus infections and deaths is out of control worldwide.
