Turkey can send peacekeepers to East Jerusalem as part of an international military contingent. However, the parliament has not yet received a request.

Axar.az reports that the statement came from Deputy Chairman of the International Affairs Committee of the Turkish Grand National Assembly Ahmet Berat Chonkar.

He noted that negotiations are underway with the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.
