The withdrawal of the US was a blow to stability - China

The hasty withdrawal of American troops from Afghanistan was a blow to the recovery process inside the country.

Axar.az reports that the statement came from Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi during a meeting with his Pakistani counterpart. He said it also had a negative impact on regional stability.

"China expects the UN to play a role in the situation. The Shanghai Cooperation Organization should pay more attention to this issue. Afghanistan's neighbours must strengthen their interaction, act as a united front and act in a coordinated manner."
