Blinken: We do our best to stop Taliban

The United States is working on a political solution to prevent the Taliban from coming to power in Afghanistan.

Axar.az reports that the statement came from US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken.

"We are doing everything possible. First of all, we want to reach a political solution through negotiations to prevent this (the Taliban coming to power - ed.)," he said.

Blinken added that despite the withdrawal of US troops from Afghanistan, he will not leave the country.
