The CSTO must be open for Azerbaijan - Russia

The doors of the CSTO must be open to everyone, including Azerbaijan.

Axar.az reports that the statement came from Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Andrei Rudenko.

"The only thing that can limit membership may be a certain situation with the organization's charter. Accordingly, diplomatic relations between its members are important for participation in the CSTO. Such relations do not exist between Azerbaijan and Armenia yet. When they are restored - we hope it will happen sooner or later - then this issue can be put in one form or another from a practical point of view," he said.
