The UN SC will discuss the arrest of Protasevich today

The UN Security Council will hold an informal and closed-door meeting on May 26 to discuss the downing of a Belarusian airliner Ryanair and the arrest of opposition journalist Roman Protasevich.

Axar.az reports that the statement came from UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Rupert Colville.

"We fear Roman Protasevich's safety and want to be assured that he is being treated humanely," he said.
